Das Molch-Register hat zum Ziel:

1. Erhaltungszucht selten importierter oder in der Natur vom Aussterben bedrohter Arten.

2. Koordinierte Weitergabe von Tieren und ihrer Nachzuchten möglichst aller in der AG gehaltenen Arten an interessierte Mitglieder.
   Dadurch Verzicht auf den Kauf von Importtieren und eigenen Freilandfängen.

3. Sach- und artbezogene Beratung für Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene durch die Paten.

4. Vertiefung der Kenntnisse zur Biologie der Arten durch Haltung und Nachzucht.

5. Mittel zur Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und Selbstdarstellung der AG-Aktivitäten.
   

Folgende Arten/Gattungen werden zur Zeit durch das Molchregister betreut:

Aims of the Newt-Register:

1. Breeding of endangered or seldom imported species.

2. Coordinated circulation of breeding animals and their offspring among all interested members. As many species as possible should be included to avoid the necessity to buy imported animals or to take animals from nature.

3. Beginners and advanced keepers can receive relevant advice by the godfathers of the several species.

4. We want to learn more about the biology of the respective species by keeping and breeding them.

5. The Newt-Register is also an instrument of public relation and profiling for our working group.
